July 18-21 in Toronto: UNITY FESTIVAL!

Mark your calendars ladies and gentleman, because the one and only Unity Festival is back.  Once again featuring a ton of amazing events filled with supertalented and inspirational performers, you will not want to miss this. Here's what you need to know:

On (Thurs) June 18th, Rahzel will be headling the festival's Free Your Sound: 2vs2 Beatboxing Battle at The Mod Club.

On (Fri) June 19th, Free Your Style: Breakdancing and All Styles will be on at the Phoenix Concert Theatre with headliner KID DAVID.

On (Sat) June 20th, Talib Kweli and special guest Rich Kidd will be performing and Yonge and Dundas Square.  This is a must, of course.

On (Sun) June 21st, Free Your Voice: Lyricist Battle and Showcase will be presented at the Daniels Spectrum Theatre with Queen Godis.  

And this is only to name a few of the guests and performers at UNITY Festival, which supports UNITY Charity, an organization started by Bboy Piecez in 2007 which empowers and engages youth to become role models and leaders in the community throughout artistic self-expression.  This is something we can all agree is worthy of our support.

Talib Kweli & Busta Rhymes "Rocket Ships" produced by RZA

Oh wow. Yep.  This is a real thing.  RZA laces a beautiful beat with a White Rabbit-esque bassline and some beautiful rolling drums while Kweli and Busta both bless us with complex and delightful verses that remind us why they are legends in the first place.  Fuck yes.  This is insanity.
